  • Nieuw Duits Sims Magazine verschijnt vrijdag 11 juni

    Elke 2 maanden komt er in Duitsland een Sims Magazine uit en het nieuwe nummer verschijnt aanstaande vrijdag. Dit keer weer veel aandacht voor mode en wonen met dit keer als thema De Zomer, een blik op de nieuwe beroepen uit De Sims 3 Ambities en informatie over de Sims 3 voor console en handheld en op de DVD die er altijd bijzit staan 20 exclusieve objecten met als thema IKEA en Zomer.

    Zoals bij elke nummer zullen we weer een aantal foto’s online zetten zodra het Sims Magazine op onze deurmatten is gevallen want veel teamleden hebben nu een abonnement genomen.

  • Wil jij ingame advertenties zien in De Sims 3?

    De laatste patch voor De Sims 3 bracht niet alleen oplossingen voor allerlei bugs maar EA heeft er ook een mogelijkheid ingebouwd om straks in ons spel reclames toe te voegen.

    Met deze game-update worden dynamische advertentiemogelijkheden in De Sims 3 geactiveerd. Er zijn echter nog geen huidige plannen om dit soort materiaal te activeren. Kijk voor meer informatie in de EULA van De Sims 3.

    Cinema Blend heeft de afgelopen dagen verschillende afleveringen online gezet met hun eerste indrukken van De Sims 3 Ambities en vandaag is het laatste deel online gekomen.

    Final Verdict: Ambitions adds a lot to the game in terms of new activities and job professions. That said, it’s definitely going to appeal more to players who want their Sims to advance professionally. For those who prefer their Sims to spend less time working and more time with their families, building relationships, throwing parties and wandering the neighborhood, Ambitions won’t really get in the way of that but you might find yourself neglecting the personal aspects of your Sims’ lives as you devote your efforts to helping them along in their careers.

  • De Sims 3 op Consoles preview

    Gamepro heeft een 2 pagina’s lange preview online gezet van De Sims 3 Ambities voor op consoles, er zitten ook 3 nieuwe screens bij.

    All of what I see is still very early in development. Player says the team will decide how much, if any, of the Karma Powers should be unlocked for players at the beginning of the game. They’re a bit more confident, however, about what the Wii and DS versions will be able to do at launch. They explain that because of hardware limitations, it’s much easier to define special gameplay features — such as how you have direct control of your Sim in the Wii version. This means you play the game in a third — person view similar to an action-adventure game than to the overhead god-view established in The Sims on PC.

    De Engelstalige Gamespot heeft een review van De Sims 3 Ambities online gezet.

    The good:
    * Professions are fun and let you join your sims at work
    * Charming new animations, music, and sound effects
    * New content is integrated well with the old
    * Hobby and career progressions are full of new surprises.

    The bad:
    * Lingering glitches, along with some new ones
    * Not as substantial as the previous expansion.
