Het is vandaag precies 2 weken geleden dat De Sims 3 Luxe Accessoires officieel uitgekomen is en dus hebben we ondertussen genoeg tijd gehad om een goed beeld te krijgen van dit Accessoires pakket. Aangezien we alle items nu grondig bekeken hebben werd het onderhand ook tijd om onze ervaringen met onze bezoekers te delen door middel van een Review.

Zoals het accessoirepakketten betaamt, voegen ze geen echte gameplayelementen toe en koop je dus een cd’tje met objecten en outfits in één stijl. Hoewel het design van die meubeltjes wel leuk is, vinden we de oogst van dit eerste pakket toch een beetje magertjes. Alleen voor de echte liefhebbers dus, of de jonge, hippe, overbetaalde gamers.
The artwork of the objects is almost universally better than anything you can get from the online Sims 3 store, and you’ll pay much less for the Stuff Pack than the total cost of purchasing the same number of new objects from the online store. However, considering the leanness of the Stuff Pack (one new object per category, no new wallpaper or flooring), it’s not like the Stuff Pack will allow you to overhaul your neighborhoods. High-End Loft Stuff Pack is for hardcore Sims 3 players who want to have every object in the universe for decorating their homes; everyone else should just wait for the next true expansion pack, which should have far more options.

The highlight of the pack, however, has to be the 10th Anniversary ‘gifts’ that also come in the stuff pack: three favourites from previous Sims titles. Yes, the vibromatic bed is finally back, as is the large (now stockable) aquarium, and an awesome electric guitar. This first stuff pack lets players glitz up their homes a little, with some sleek, modern furniture that wouldn’t look out of place in a fancy New York loft (or what I imagine a New York loft would look like). There’s a lot of glass, a lot of Swedish-looking furniture, and even a very awesome corner bathtub. I wasn’t particularly jazzed by the mens’ clothes (which looked a little more Thriller-era Michael Jackson than High-End Loft), but there are a couple of nice new haircuts for women, and some good-looking gear for them.

We hebben 2 korte nieuwtjes voor jullie over Sims 3 Luxe.
De eerste is dat je bij registratie van Sims 3 Luxe sinds afgelopen vrijdag geen 1000 Simpoints meer krijgt. Het is nooit de bedoeling geweest dat je bij Sims 3 Luxe 1000 Simpoints zou krijgen maar door een bug bij de registratie van het spel dacht de officiële Sims 3 site dat je Sims 3 Wereldavonturen registreerde en daarom kreeg je 1000 Simpoints.
Deze bug is dus opgelost en alleen Simmers die tot en met de officiële release datum Sims 3 Luxe registreerde kregen de 1000 Simpoints. Het kan zijn dat je bij registratie nog steeds ziet dat je Wereldavonturen hebt geregistreerd terwijl je Luxe registreert; de ‘Verzilver je Simpoints’ button zul je niet meer zien.
Het tweede nieuwtje betreft de exclusieve download die je bij de digitale versie van Sims 3 Luxe krijgt als je deze op de EA Store koopt (de esCargo ‘Buiten’ Processor). Deze exclusieve download krijgen veel Simmers niet omdat er allerlei technische problemen op de Sims 3 Store zijn. Deze technische problemen zorgen er trouwens ook voor dat veel andere Sims 3 Store spullen niet goed downloaden.
