SimGuruKarsky heeft op de Amerikaanse De Sims 3 site wat vragen beantwoord over het beheersen van allerlei wezens straks in De Sims 3 als De Sims 3 Bovennatuurlijk uitkomt.
Vlak voor de release van het nieuwe spel, dus in de eerste week van september, zal er een patch komen die opties toevoegt waarmee je het aantal beroemdheden, paarden en andere dieren, vampiers, feeën, heksen en weerwolven kunt beheren. Eenhoorns en zombies zul je niet kunnen beheren.
Het komt er op neer dat je twee opties krijgt: 1 optie waarmee het spel de genoemde dieren en wezens blijft aanmaken en 1 optie waarbij de automatische aanmaak wordt stopgezet. Deze opties worden algemene opties, dus voor alle savegames die je hebt.
Voor De Sims 3 Na Middernacht komt er nog een extra optie waarmee je voorkomt dat je huishouden vanzelf beroemd wordt.
Dit is toch wel erg goed nieuws want een flink aantal Simmers hoopte al op deze nieuwe opties die er nu dan eindelijk komen. Er zal best wel ergens een hack of mod voor zijn maar niet iedereen wil hacks of mods in het spel hebben.

As you may have heard, we’re including advanced settings for controlling the population of some of the Sims types in the game, including some of the types introduced in previous expansion packs. With the new settings you’ll be able to control the population growth of: vampires, fairies, werewolves, witches, pets, horses, and celebrities. You can allow your populations to continue to grow as normal (the default) or turn population growth off completely for each of the supported Sim types. However, the control is global and cannot be configured differently for each world or saved game. Of course, you must have the appropriate expansion pack for some types to appear at all.

Sweetnightingale2907 kan een beetje langdradig zijn in haar commentaren, maar we zien ook genoeg gameplay van de nieuwe buurt voor De Sims 3: Lucky Palms.
Hoe ze het voor elkaar hebben gekregen weet ik niet (vast de hele nacht doorgewerkt) maar de Engelstalige CAW Wiki heeft een review online gezet van Lucky Palms, de nieuwe buurt voor De Sims 3. De buurt scoort in ieder geval goede cijfers:
Terrain – 9/10
I took a point off on a totally subjective basis. I do not like the giant out of proportion peak in the middle of the craters, and this the world would look better without it. However this is top notch terrain sculpting, and can’t really be faulted.Lots – 10/10
The lots are nice, with a modern building style that EA’s lot builders are clearly more comfortable with than they are with classic architecture. There’s a real charm to the new rabbit holes and the lots they inhabit, and there are plenty of lots for EP content.Objects – 9/10
As I said in the body of the review, it’s in the objects that this pack shines – new trees, nice “premium content”, lovely additions to build mode, and with nice community-aware touches like the mailbox being available with buydebug. There is a lovely cattle guard grate on the roads in the worlds that isn’t available in CAW, knocking a point off what should be a perfect score.Sims – 7/10
Although they mostly have the freakishly over-large eyes and slightly non-descript face of all EA Sims, these guys manage to convey a dash more personality, a bit more like the EP Sims than previous store ones. Quite a few really do look distinct and unique this time.Playability – 9/10
I found one road not connected to an intersection, but otherwise EA has laid great routing on a terrain where the complex sculpting and bright terrain made mistakes more likely than usual.Flavour Texts – 8/10
The community lots don’t have any flavour texts at all, but all the other texts are excellent. You can get a very good sense of what situation you are going into with a pre-made family by reading their text, and play off of that. House texts give some wry hints about the history of the world itself.

In De Sims 3 Lucky Palms draait alles om rust en ontspanning! Door de vele parken, recreatieve locaties en een bloeiende culinaire gemeenschap, zul je je in een groene oase midden in de woestijn wanen. Deze woestijnstad bestaat uit prachtige tuinen, moderne gebouwen en knusse huisjes. die op de over van een smetteloos meer zijn gebouwd. Midden in de stad ligt een mysterieuze put, waarvan men zegt dat die de wensen van Sims met een puur hart uit laat komen… Wat ga jij wensen?
Gloednieuwe wensput – Hunkert jouw Sim naar de ware liefde? Welvaart? Macht en roem? Of misschien naar een bezoekje van de ooievaar, of gewoon geluk… De wensput kan je Sim helpen om dit alles en meer te bereiken! Gooi er gewoon een muntje in en doe een wens. Misschien komen al je dromen wel uit…
Lucky Palms is er in 2 versies: een standaard versie en een goud versie.
Tot 13 juli 2012 zal de standaard versie 2100 Simpoints kosten, ipv 2450 Simpoints. En de goud versie kost tot 13 juli 2012 3700 Simpoints en na die datum 4350 Simpoints.
