Gamescom 2010: De Sims Middeleeuwen developers presentatie
Alhoewel de Gamescom in Keulen voor het grote publiek pas vandaag open is gegaan zijn er de afgelopen dagen al wat presentaties geweest waaronder een ‘behind closed doors’ presentatie van De Sims Middeleeuwen door de makers van de games. Op de Engelstalige EA at Gamescom 2010 site staat een verslag online.
Morgen (vrijdag dus) zitten Xelles, Kyta en ik zelf bij een presentatie van De Sims Middeleeuwen op de Gamescom 2010 in Keulen en we hopen dat daar ook iemand van het team dat de game maakt aanwezig is.
The demonstration by the developers was exciting. The Sims do things that they have never done before. This also includes the combat which is represented by your own combat system in the game. As previously each Sim character has their own personality and they make the decisions for themselves. This is particularly noticeable in the quests which you will constantly face. For instance you come across a man who is publically on display. Do you throw eggs and tomatoes at him or do you show some compassion and quickly free him from his wretched situation? The tasks can involve marrying someone, having a baby or also curing the king of his severe illness. The game is very varied due to the quests.

De Sims 3 Na Middernacht box
Gisteren was de Spaanse versie van de box voor De Sims 3 Na Middernacht al gevonden maar ik zelf had wat twijfels of dit wel een officiële box was maar inmiddels is ook de Engelse versie gevonden dus we moeten er maar vanuit gaan dat dit de box wordt zoals je die op donderdag 28 oktober in de winkels zult zien liggen. Gamescom 2010: De Sims Middeleeuwen previews
Er zijn weer wat previews online gekomen van De Sims Middeleeuwen op verschillende sites, inmiddels is de preview die Xelles gemaakt heeft al veel gelezen en de reacties zijn erg positief en naast onze eigen vertaling naar het Engels hebben collega fansites inmiddels vertalingen gemaakt naar het Duits, Frans, Spaans en Pools, zie ook dit bericht op onze site.

You have to stay in the kingdom, but your Sims don’t. There are surrounding environments like a forest or a ship at sea where your Sims can travel to undertake certain Quests. But like most jobs in the Sims series or the mausoleum in The Sims 3, you don’t get to go with them — you just wait for Chance Cards to tell you whether or not your Sim got jumped by a dragon or successfully traded for spices in some faraway kindom.

De Sims 3 consoles preview op IGN
I sent the mother on a walk to the park sans the offspring, because let’s face it; teenage boys can be really annoying. While on said stroll, my Sim happened to run into a fellow working on a laptop near a fountain. For some reason, I could select his laptop. I thought to myself, “Oh sweet, I’m totally gonna make her swipe it” but I couldn’t. Perhaps my Sim lacked the proper thieving prowess or desire, but that didn’t stop me. I didn’t just want that laptop, I needed that laptop and I was going to get it one way or another.

Nieuwe screens van De Sims Middeleeuwen
Bricasims heeft deze op een officiële De Sims Middeleeuwen site gevonden, de Nederlandse site is nog niet geupdate met alle nieuwe screens en de trailer.
