De Sims Middeleuwen preview op IGN
Because medieval folks were a rowdy bunch, EA has also included dueling in this version of the Sims. The altercation I saw was between the king and one of his knights. I’m not sure what they were upset about as they both jabbered in Simlish, but eventually they pushed each other around and drew their swords. A 2D side-view of the fight popped up, and the demoer skillfully bested the king without killing him, though murder is always an option.

Gamespot over De Sims Middeleeuwen
De Engelse gamesite Gamespot heeft een preview van 2 pagina’s online gezet van De Sims Middeleeuwen / The Sims Medieval.
In Medieval, you don’t necessarily switch control from one character to another and then another; instead, you will control a primary character by accepting an outstanding quest for that character (and if you wish to keep playing that character, then you can simply keep accepting quests for that character). One of the many heroes you can choose to follow as your active character is the realm’s king or queen, who resides in the castle, which itself can be edited and designed…somewhat. To keep the game’s look and feel consistent, your view of the castle in build mode won’t cut away all the walls; instead, it will give you cross-sectional views that encompass the entire room at a glance.

De Sims 3 Consoles: handson op Gamespot
To jump from one location to the next or access the newly added features, the select button will bring up a menu of things to do. Karma powers and the challenge system have been placed here, where you can build up karma points to use special powers on yourself or on other sims. The challenge and reward system is similar to achievements, where you’ll have a list of 300 things you can complete throughout the game to earn points, which can then be used for shopping.

De Sims Middeleeuwen: previews op Nederlandse sites
Afgelopen maand was Xelles op het hoofdkantoor van EA in Amerika voor een preview van De Sims Middeleeuwen en Darkspore. Zijn De Sims Middeleeuwen preview staat sinds gisteren online en zijn Darkspore preview komt binnenkort online.
Naast S3N was er nog een fansite in Amerika: Simsplanet2 en wij waren de enige fansites die bij dit zeer geslaagde event aanwezig waren. Er waren ook Nederlandse journalisten bij van Inside Gamer en De Telegraaf. We hebben de links naar hun verslagen voor jullie in de (meer lezen…) gezet, alleen het De Telegraaf artikel is nog niet online.
