    De Sims 4 is weer uit te proberen via de Origin Game Time actie! Hiermee heb je 48 uur lang de mogelijkheid om het hele spel gratis uit te testen, zonder dat je De Sims 4 hoeft aan te schaffen. Zeker aan te raden als je De Sims 4 nog niet hebt, maar wel nog twijfelt of je ‘m wel wil aanschaffen!

    Update 3 september 2018: EA heeft de pagina met gratis games (waaronder de demo’s) inmiddels van Origin afgehaald. De Sims 4 is echter nog altijd gratis uit te proberen door naar de pagina van De Sims 4 zelf te gaan en dan Probeer eerst gratis te selecteren.

    Als je de galerie al eens hebt geopend heb je waarschijnlijk de mooiste creaties gezien, van absurde villa’s tot verbluffende woonhuizen. En wij krijgen vaak dezelfde vraag voorgeschoteld: hoe doen ze dat toch?! Dat heeft ons geïnspireerd om leden van de community uit te nodigen om anderen te laten zien hoe ze die geweldige dingen uit de galerie kunt bouwen.

    Vandaag willen we manieren laten zien om de keuken van je Sims te verbouwen en verbeteren! We hebben de populaire bouwer Ruthless_KK uitgenodigd voor een aantal tips voor het maken van een prachtige keuken in De Sims 4. Hieronder staat haar handleiding.

    Metro UK: Rachel Franklin over de toekomst van De Sims 4

    De Britse nieuwssite Metro UK heeft een aardig uitgebreid interview met Rachel Franklin, uitvoerend president van De Sims 4, gepubliceerd over de stand van zaken binnen De Sims 4. Waarom peuters weglaten bijvoorbeeld, ondanks de grote kritiek van de fans vooraf, uiteindelijk toch de beste keuze bleek te zijn tot allerlei andere zaken omtrent De Sims 4 Beleef het Samen en de verdere toekomst van de serie. Al met al zeker het lezen waard!

    GameCentral talks to the woman in charge of The Sims, about the future of the franchise and the difficulties of dealing with fan unrest.

    It may seem like it’s in a unique position but The Sims suffers from exactly the same difficulties as any other major franchise, from Call Of Duty to Pokémon. How often should you make a sequel? How import are cutting edge graphics? What features have the fans been asking for? And will it actually work when it’s released?

    To one degree or another The Sims 4 ran it all of these problems when it was first launched, but in particular complaints from fans that it had purposefully removed features that were present in the older game; with many imagining that they would be reintroduced at a later date as paid-for content.

    But that didn’t happen and although not all of the more controversial features have been reinstated most of them have, as free updates. Since we’ve always enjoyed The Sims games, including The Sims 4, the recent release of the Get Together expansion pack gave us a chance to meet with Rachel Franklin, the vice president and general manager of The Sims Studios.
    We talked to her about the future of the franchise and also the ever-increasing difficulty of releasing open-ended games… and of reviewing them.

    Gisteren is de tiende editie van het The Sims Magazine uitgekomen met ditmaal onder andere verschillende artikelen over De Sims 4 Beleef het Samen en handige tutorials voor De Sims 4 Wellnessdag! Het magazine kun je downloaden in de App Store (iOS) of Play Store (Android).

    Langzamerhand zien we bij steeds meer webshops de releasedatum van 12 november opduiken voor de aanstaande uitbreiding De Sims 4 Beleef het Samen. Afgelopen week zagen we het al bij grote internationale webshops zoals Amazon en nu ook al bij het Nederlandse Bol.com. Hoewel officieel nog niets bevestigd is door EA, lijkt het er nu wel sterk op dat 12 november daadwerkelijk de releasedatum gaat worden!

    Vanwege de eerste verjaardag van De Sims 4 organiseert het De Sims team twee verschillende giveaway’s met allerlei leuke prijzen zoals de Steelseries headset, een De Sims 4 Beleef het Samen shirt en nog vele andere dingetjes. Het enige wat je hoeft te doen is je favoriete screenshot posten op het forum of via Twitter met de hashtag #SimmersGiveaway. De eerste giveaway loopt tot morgen, de tweede tot 7 september, dus wees er snel bij!
